From Student Intern to Marketing Professional
Hannah Jordan, Elon University Class of 2026
When I joined Harvest Table Culinary Group as a first-year student at Elon University, I never imagined it would help launch my full-time marketing career. Over four years as a Dining Marketing Intern, I had the opportunity to think creatively, take initiative, and make an impact through social media campaigns, event promotions, marketing projects, and collaboration with chefs, campus partners, and fellow students.
One of my most meaningful projects was creating the “Bites Abroad” series with my manager, Christian Wallace. While studying abroad in Copenhagen and traveling throughout Europe, I documented my food experiences through video diaries and journal entries. When I returned to Elon, those stories inspired menu collaborations and pop-up events with campus chefs, showing me how marketing can build community and connect people through food.
What made Harvest Table different was the trust, mentorship, and support I received along the way. I was never treated like “just an intern.” My ideas were heard, my creativity was encouraged, and I was trusted to lead meaningful projects that strengthened my confidence, skills, and passion for hospitality marketing. Today, I am proud to work in a full-time marketing role with another Aramark division, LifeWorks, as a Marketing Specialist in New York City. Harvest Table gave me much more than internship experience, it gave me the foundation for my career, passion, and the confidence to pursue opportunities I once only imagined.
