Annual Turkeypalooza brings taste of Thanksgiving to communities in need
This year, Harvest Table Culinary Group at Wake Forest University and Elon University prepared over 1000 meals during their annual Turkeypalooza event. Volunteers from the leadership team, campus dining, and Harvest Table Culinary Group prepare and deliver meals from scratch to food-insecure residents in the community for the holiday.
We sometimes forget that we’re very privileged to have a job that we love and a job to come to every day, but there are families out there that struggle, and for us to be able to give back and have that opportunity to give back is so important.

Dinners include turkey, green beans, vegetable stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, and pumpkin cookies.
